With everything I have learned thru OCD Study, Over active muscles can inhibit other muscles from being activated which decreases the neural drive leading to pain/discomfort. A single overactive muscle causes other muscles around it to become underactive so eventually those underactive muscles shrink because your only using one muscle out of a group of muscles
